Fairy Tail - 100 Years Quest #5

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, issue 5, serves as a direct continuation of Hiro Mashima’s long-running Fairy Tail fantasy series. Launched in 2018 as a digital-first sequel, the project was designed to satisfy reader demand for the characters' adventures beyond the conclusion of the original manga. It follows Natsu Dragneel and his guild as they embark on an impossible mission, expanding the world-building established in the primary series while maintaining the shonen action-adventure tone that defined the franchise.

The series is illustrated by Atsuo Ueda, who works under the direct supervision and storyboard guidance of Hiro Mashima. Ueda’s art style was chosen to closely mimic Mashima’s original aesthetic, ensuring visual continuity for the returning fan base. The fifth volume continues the narrative arc involving the Water Dragon God, balancing the series' signature comedic beats with high-stakes battles that align with the established lore and character motivations developed throughout the decade-long run of the original Fairy Tail.
