Fantastic Four #276

Fantastic Four #276, published by Marvel Comics in March 1985, belongs to the storied John Byrne run on the series. During this era, Byrne served as both writer and penciler, a period widely recognized for revitalizing the title by returning to its adventurous, family-centric roots while pushing the boundaries of the established continuity. The issue itself continues the intricate character dynamics that defined the mid-1980s Marvel output, balancing cosmic-scale threats with the internal pressures faced by the members of the Fantastic Four.

The cover and interior art reflect the clean, dynamic aesthetic that John Byrne championed during his tenure, emphasizing expressive anatomy and clear, narrative-driven panels. This issue was part of a transition period for the team, following significant roster shake-ups that occurred earlier in the 1980s. Critics and fans of the period often cite this run for its longevity and consistency, noting that Byrne managed to honor the legacy of creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby while establishing a distinct, modern identity for the team that remained influential for decades to follow.
