Female Force: Kamala Harris #1

Female Force: Kamala Harris #1 was released by TidalWave Comics as part of their long-running biography series, which aims to profile influential women in politics, entertainment, and social activism. Published in 2020 during Harris’s historic vice-presidential campaign, the comic serves as a non-partisan educational tool designed to introduce readers to the subject's background as a prosecutor, attorney general, and senator. The series utilizes a format that bridges traditional biographical storytelling with the visual language of the graphic novel medium.

The creative direction for this issue leaned into a classic biographical comic aesthetic, focusing on visual documentation of the subject's career milestones rather than superhero-style narratives. The illustrations and layout were crafted to appeal to a general audience interested in political history and public service. While the series often garners attention for its timely subject matter, the reception of these issues typically aligns with their value as cultural artifacts of American political history rather than traditional comic book tropes.
