FemForce #116

FemForce #116 was published by AC Comics as part of their long-running superhero series centered on an all-female team. Created by Bill Black, the series emerged in the mid-1980s as a nostalgic homage to Golden Age comic books, specifically utilizing the public domain characters Black had acquired or revived. The title is notable for its commitment to the classic pin-up style and adventurous tone that defined the mid-century era of comics, often maintaining a self-contained continuity that avoids the grittier trends of the modern age.

The visual identity of this issue reflects the established house style of AC Comics, which prioritizes bold, heroic character designs and high-energy narratives. As with many issues in the run, the creative direction was handled by a small team of dedicated creators, including Bill Black himself, who sought to preserve a specific aesthetic of comic book storytelling. The title has maintained a niche, loyal readership for decades, valued primarily by collectors interested in the preservation of classic comic archetypes and independent publishing history.
