FemForce #118

FemForce #118 was published in 2003 by AC Comics, a long-standing independent publisher known for its dedication to the 'good girl art' style and superhero teams featuring prominent female leads. This issue continued the long-running narrative established by Bill Black in the 1980s, focusing on a team of super-powered women operating within a retro-futuristic, pulp-inspired universe. It arrived during a period when the series was heavily emphasizing internal continuity and the expansion of its core character roster, reflecting the publisher's niche but loyal following among fans of classic comic book aesthetics.

The visual identity of this issue remains consistent with the house style of AC Comics, which often drew inspiration from the golden and silver ages of comic books. The production focused on maintaining the established archetypes of characters like Ms. Victory and She-Cat, prioritizing dynamic action sequences and traditional illustrative techniques. Reception of these issues was largely confined to the independent comic market, where collectors valued the consistency of the title's homage to mid-century superhero tropes and the commitment to a specific, enduring artistic vision.
