FemForce #120

FemForce #120 was published in 2004 by AC Comics, a long-standing independent publisher known for its focus on the Golden Age style of superhero comics and the 'good girl art' genre. This issue is part of a series that originated in the 1980s, centering on a team of powerful female superheroes who operate as a covert government agency. The series was created by Bill Black, who sought to revive the spirit and aesthetic of mid-century comic book heroines within a modern narrative framework.

The design and illustration of this period of FemForce often featured the contributions of artists like Mark Heike, who maintained the house style established by Black. The series is frequently noted for its nostalgic commitment to classic comic book tropes, focusing on continuity and a specific visual flair that draws heavily from the 1940s and 1950s. While niche, the series holds a dedicated position among collectors of independent comics due to its long-running nature and its persistent adherence to its own internal mythos.
