Where it came from
Full Moon o Sagashite, known in Spanish as Full Moon: En Busca de la Luna Llena, is a celebrated shojo manga series created by Arina Tanemura. First serialized in Japan between 2002 and 2004, the story follows Mitsuki Koyama, a young girl with a terminal illness who dreams of becoming a singer. The series explores themes of grief, ambition, and the pursuit of dreams, distinguishing itself through Tanemura's ornate, highly detailed artistic style.
This third volume continues the narrative as Mitsuki navigates her transformation into the pop star 'Full Moon' with the help of supernatural shinigami. Arina Tanemura designed the series to balance melancholic undertones with the aesthetics of the magical girl genre. Upon its international release, the series was well-received by audiences for its emotional depth and remains a staple of early 2000s manga collections.
