Gemono ga Tōsu #2

Gemono ga Tōsu was a short-lived Japanese manga anthology series that emerged during a period of experimentation within the late 20th-century alternative comics scene. Issue #2 arrived as part of an effort to provide a platform for avant-garde artists and storytellers who operated outside the mainstream shonen or shojo demographics, focusing instead on surrealist narratives and non-traditional illustration styles.

The design and artistic direction of the series were driven by a collective of underground illustrators who favored high-contrast aesthetics and unconventional panel layouts. While the publication was met with critical interest among enthusiasts of underground graphic literature, its experimental nature and limited distribution kept it as a niche cultural artifact that remains highly sought after by collectors of obscure Japanese independent print media.
