Gøg og Gokke #197212

Gøg og Gokke was the Danish-language comic book adaptation of the iconic Laurel and Hardy film duo. These comics were part of a long-running series published in Denmark during the 1970s, designed to introduce younger generations to the slapstick humor of the classic comedians. The magazines often featured original illustrated stories alongside humor columns and games, aiming to capture the essence of the characters' on-screen chemistry through a static medium.

The 197212 issue reflects the typical aesthetic of European licensed comics of that era, utilizing a mix of bold, high-contrast illustration styles typical of Scandinavian publishers like Gutenberghus. The artistic direction prioritized clarity and physical comedy, translating the visual gags of the films into panel-based sequences. While the specific creators varied by issue, the series was generally well-received by children and fans of traditional vaudeville-style comedy, serving as a staple of Danish newsstand culture throughout the decade.
