Gøg og Gokke #197406

Gøg og Gokke, the Danish name for the legendary comedy duo Laurel and Hardy, were the subjects of a long-running comic book series published in Denmark. The issue numbered 197406 was released in June 1974, a period when the duo's films remained staples of television programming, sustaining their popularity across generations of European audiences. These comics typically featured lighthearted, slapstick-driven narratives that adapted the physical comedy dynamics of the films into a serialized illustrated format.

The design and illustration of the Danish Laurel and Hardy comics were often produced by licensed Scandinavian studios tasked with maintaining the recognizable likenesses of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. The art style of the mid-1970s iterations focused on expressive, exaggerated character designs intended to translate the duo's distinct visual humor onto the page. While these issues served primarily as accessible entertainment for children and comedy fans, they are now held as nostalgic artifacts of the mid-century comics market in Denmark.
