Gøg og Gokke #197407

Gøg og Gokke, the Danish title for the iconic comedy duo Laurel and Hardy, enjoyed a long-running presence in the Nordic market through licensed comic books. This specific issue, numbered 197407, was published in July 1974 as part of a series that adapted the duo's slapstick chemistry into the medium of serialized comics. During the 1970s, these publications were produced to capitalize on the enduring popularity of classic film comedy, which remained a staple of European afternoon television and print media.

The design of these comics focused on translating the physical gags and distinct facial expressions of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy onto the page. While the editorial teams at the time often utilized a mix of repurposed international strips and localized content to maintain the series' momentum, the visual style prioritized accessible humor for a younger readership. The series was well-received as a lighthearted bridge between the Golden Age of Hollywood and the comic book culture of the mid-20th century.
