Where it came from
Ghost Fixers: Yìxiàng Jiàozhèngguān is a graphic series that emerged from the independent Chinese comics scene, focusing on narratives that blend traditional folklore with modern supernatural investigation. Issue #1 was released to introduce the titular organization, a group of specialists tasked with rectifying anomalies and spectral disruptions in contemporary urban settings.
The visual language of the series, characterized by sharp linework and high-contrast ink techniques, draws heavily from a fusion of hong kong manhua aesthetics and contemporary graphic design sensibilities. It was received by readers as a stylistic departure from traditional serialized comics, praised for its atmospheric world-building and the creator's dedication to reinterpreting classical ghostly encounters through a rigorous, almost bureaucratic lens.
