Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi #6

Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi, or 'How I Attended an All-Guy's Mixer', began as a popular web manga series by Nana Aokawa, initially serialized on the Pixiv platform. The series gained significant traction for its comedic subversion of the typical romantic comedy premise, focusing on a group of university students who attend a mixer expecting women, only to find the attendees are actually cross-dressing men. Volume 6 continues the established narrative tone, further developing the social dynamics and humorous misunderstandings inherent in the premise.

The character design and visual style are hallmark features of Aokawa’s work, blending traditional shonen-style gag humor with character-driven interactions. The publication of the sixth volume reflects the series' ongoing success within the Japanese manga market, where it transitioned from online sensation to a recognized print title under the Square Enix publishing label. The reception of these collected volumes has been consistently positive, noted for its lighthearted approach to its unconventional setup.
