Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi #7

Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi, created by manga artist Nana Aokawa, began its serialization in 2020 through the Square Enix platform Gangan Online. The series originated as a clever inversion of the traditional romantic comedy trope of the group blind date, or gōkon, by focusing on a group of female university students who disguise themselves as handsome men to infiltrate a setting where they believe they will be welcomed more easily. This seventh volume continues the series' exploration of gender performance and the evolving interpersonal dynamics between the core group of friends and the male students who eventually discover their secret.

Aokawa’s design approach balances expressive character work with the lighthearted, often humorous tone characteristic of modern shōnen-demographic comedies. The series has been received positively by readers for its comedic timing and the sincere development of its central relationships. As the seventh entry in the series, this volume reflects the established artistic maturity of the project, focusing on the refined character interactions that have sustained the manga's popularity since its digital debut.
