Hell's Half Acre #3

Hell's Half Acre was a short-lived independent comic book series published in the early 1990s. Emerging during the height of the independent comics boom, the series was designed to explore gritty, character-driven narratives outside the scope of mainstream superhero publishers. It functioned as an anthology-style showcase for creators looking to push the boundaries of genre storytelling through a darker, more cynical lens.

The art and editorial direction focused on atmospheric, noir-inspired layouts meant to evoke a sense of unease. As a product of a smaller press, the series gained a modest but dedicated following among collectors who valued the experimental spirit of 1990s creator-owned titles. It remains a quiet artifact of an era defined by a brief, fervent interest in independent voices within the comic medium.
