Hoshi no Kirby: Kyō mo Manmaru Nikki! #7

Hoshi no Kirby: Kyō mo Manmaru Nikki! is a long-running manga series serialized in CoroCoro Comic, centered on the iconic Nintendo character Kirby. The series, illustrated by Hirokazu Hikawa, is known for its slapstick humor and distinct, expressive art style that departs from the more serious tone of some other franchise adaptations. Volume 7 serves as a key installment in this collection, capturing the mid-run creative direction of the series as it solidified its place in the Japanese children's manga landscape during the late 1990s.

The design of the volume reflects the editorial standards of CoroCoro Comic, prioritizing high-energy layouts and accessible, character-driven comedy. Hikawa’s approach to Kirby emphasizes the character's round, malleable nature, using visual gags to suit a younger demographic. Upon its release, the series was well-received by readers for its ability to translate the gameplay elements of the Kirby titles into a consistent, humorous print format, cementing its status as a staple of the wider Kirby multimedia canon.
