Hoshizukiyo Kōgyō Kōkō Luna Dōkōkai: 38-Man Kilo no Kiseki #1

Hoshizukiyo Kōgyō Kōkō Luna Dōkōkai: 38-Man Kilo no Kiseki #1 is an entry in a niche Japanese light novel and media series centered on the fictional activities of an industrial high school astronomy club. The work emerged from the broader tradition of school-based slice-of-life narratives, specifically focusing on the intersection of technical hobbyism and teenage aspiration as the characters aim for a moon-landing objective. It was created to appeal to enthusiasts of 'teens-in-science' tropes, framing the astronomical goal as a physical manifestation of youthful ambition.

The visual identity and world-building of this series are heavily informed by early 2000s anime aesthetics, prioritizing clean character linework and grounded, semi-realistic machinery design. The authorial intent behind the first volume was to establish a contrast between the mundane setting of a regional technical high school and the grandiose scale of space exploration. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a cult-interest title within domestic markets, appreciated more for its specific technical details and character dynamics than for mainstream commercial success.
