I Fantastici Quattro #10

I Fantastici Quattro #10 was published in Italy in 1973 by Editoriale Corno as part of their long-running effort to introduce American Marvel Comics to the Italian public. This specific issue reproduces the content of the original United States edition, The Fantastic Four #10, which was originally published in 1963. The American original was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, featuring the return of Doctor Doom and a crossover with the Sub-Mariner, reflecting the collaborative energy of the Silver Age of comics where the creative team established the foundational dynamics of the Marvel Universe.

The design and tone of the Corno edition were tailored to fit the specific market aesthetics of the Italian newsstand era, often featuring distinct cover layouts and editorial notes intended to contextualize the superheroes for a local audience. Jack Kirby’s dynamic artwork, defined by bold action sequences and inventive machinery, was received with significant enthusiasm in Italy, helping to solidify the Fantastic Four as a cornerstone of the burgeoning European comic book fandom during the 1970s.
