Il Giornalino #v. 91 no. 31

Il Giornalino is a long-running Italian weekly magazine for children and young adults, first published in 1924 by the San Paolo Periodici group. It has historically served as an educational and cultural staple within Italy, offering a mix of serialized comics, moral instruction, and informative articles. The magazine is noted for its high production values and its role in launching or hosting the work of many prominent Italian cartoonists, bridging the gap between recreational reading and Catholic-oriented youth development.

The design and content of the publication have evolved over nearly a century, moving from traditional adventure narratives to modern graphic storytelling while maintaining a consistent editorial voice. Each issue typically features a rotating roster of beloved characters and original series, often overseen by a dedicated editorial team aiming to balance entertainment with pedagogical intent. As a fixture of Italian newsstands for decades, the magazine is widely regarded as a significant cultural artifact that reflects the changing tastes and values of successive generations of Italian readers.
