Incredible Hulk Epic Collection: Devolution #1

The Incredible Hulk Epic Collection: Devolution was released by Marvel Comics as part of their ongoing Epic Collection trade paperback initiative. This program was launched to collect the publisher's vast back catalog in chronological, colorized volumes, providing fans with accessible entry points to key eras of character history. This specific volume focuses on the creative output of the mid-1990s, a transitional period for the character that saw significant shifts in both tone and artistic direction following the departure of long-running creative teams.

The content gathered here highlights the work of writers like Peter David and artists such as Liam Sharp and Angel Medina. The design of the collection adheres to the standardized trade dress established for the Epic line, featuring iconic cover art selections and supplementary material designed to contextualize the narrative arc for modern readers. It received a positive reception from established collectors and enthusiasts of 90s Marvel lore, serving as a functional, durable resource for those looking to archive the Hulk's evolution during an era defined by bold experimentation.
