Justice League of America: Another Nail #1

Justice League of America: Another Nail #1, published by DC Comics in 2004, serves as the direct sequel to the acclaimed Elseworlds miniseries The Nail. Written and illustrated by Alan Davis, the series explores an alternate DC Universe where Superman's rocket was never discovered by the Kents, fundamentally altering the trajectory of the world's greatest heroes. Davis returned to this project to further expand upon the cosmic tensions and character dynamics he established in the first volume, emphasizing a classic, sprawling superhero aesthetic that pays homage to the Silver Age roots of the Justice League.

The design and narrative approach reflect Davis's signature meticulous line work and vibrant, clear-cut storytelling style. In this sequel, the focus shifts toward the intersection of various mystical and extraterrestrial threats, testing the unity of the League against internal and external pressures. The work was generally well-received by fans of the Elseworlds imprint, who appreciated the continuity of Davis’s vision and his ability to balance an expansive ensemble cast within a self-contained, high-stakes narrative framework.
