Justice Society of America #2

Justice Society of America #2 was published in 2007 as part of the DC Comics revival of the team's ongoing series, spearheaded by writer Geoff Johns. Following the events of the 'One Year Later' relaunch, this title sought to blend the classic legacy of the original Golden Age heroes with a modern, darker narrative sensibility. The story arc serves to re-establish the group as a mentor-focused organization, bridging the gap between historical continuity and contemporary comic book pacing.

The interior art for this issue was primarily handled by Dale Eaglesham, whose aesthetic was instrumental in grounding the series. His approach favored a detailed, clean style that emphasized the distinct personalities and physical stature of each member, ranging from the veteran Alan Scott to newer recruits. The issue was well-received by the comic industry at the time, particularly for how it balanced ensemble character development with high-stakes superhero action, solidifying the series as a cornerstone of the post-Infinite Crisis DC landscape.
