Justice Society of America #5

Justice Society of America #5 was released in 2007 as part of the DC Comics ongoing series written by Geoff Johns. This issue follows the team as they navigate the fallout from the 'Thy Kingdom Come' story arc, which explored the return of the Earth-2 Superman and his struggle to adjust to the current DC Universe continuity. The series served as a cornerstone of the post-Infinite Crisis era, aiming to bridge the gap between the legacy of the original golden age heroes and the modern generation.

The interior art for this issue was primarily handled by Dale Eaglesham, known for his polished, classical style that effectively emphasized the team's sense of history and gravitas. Eaglesham was tasked with depicting a sprawling ensemble cast, balancing intimate character moments with large-scale superhero action. Upon its release, the series was well-received by fans and critics alike, frequently praised for its ability to honor the JSA's long history while maintaining narrative momentum within the broader DC multiverse.
