Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi #10

Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi, known in English as 'Mysterious Disappearances', is a manga series created by the artist Nujima. The tenth volume serves as a significant installment in this supernatural mystery series, which explores the intersection of urban legends, folklore, and modern-day puzzles in a contemporary Japanese setting. The narrative centers on Sumireko Ogawa, an aspiring novelist, and her mysterious colleague Adashino, as they investigate various uncanny occurrences that plague their bookstore.

The series design aesthetic reflects Nujima’s penchant for detailed character expressions and atmospheric world-building that bridges the gap between traditional yokai mythology and modern societal anxieties. Since its debut, the series has garnered a dedicated following for its unique tone, which manages to be both suspenseful and whimsical. Volume ten continues the established visual style and thematic depth that has come to define the franchise, solidifying its place within the current landscape of seinen manga.
