Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi #11

Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi, created by the artist Nujima, is a modern supernatural manga series that began serialization in 2019. The series explores urban legends, folklore, and the eerie occurrences surrounding a bookshop clerk named Sumireko Ogawa, blending psychological tension with elements of mystery and the occult. Volume 11 serves as a late-stage installment in this ongoing narrative, reflecting the author's signature style of blending high-stakes supernatural mystery with character-driven domesticity.

Nujima’s design aesthetic for the series relies on sharp character expressions and dense, atmospheric backgrounds that emphasize the uncanny nature of the phenomena encountered by the protagonists. As the series evolved from its initial episodic structure into more complex story arcs, the later volumes, including number 11, have been noted for their focus on the deepening lore of the hidden world. The series has garnered a dedicated following for its unique fusion of comedic tropes and darker, folkloric sensibilities.
