Keiyakukon Shita Aite ga Oni-Saishō Deshita ga, Kono Tabi Saishōshitsu Sennin Hosakan ni Ninmei Sareta Jimi Bunkan (Hensōchū) wa Watashi Desu. #2

This light novel series, often abbreviated as Jimi Bunkan, emerged from the highly competitive web novel scene on the Japanese platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō. The series belongs to a growing trend of romantic fantasy light novels that blend political intrigue with character-driven relationship dynamics. Its publication by Kadokawa under the Beans Bunko imprint reflects the label's focus on stories featuring strong-willed heroines navigating complex courtly environments.

The illustrative work for this volume was provided by the artist Akari, whose delicate and detailed style is a staple of the current shōjo-influenced light novel market. The design choices aim to convey the dual nature of the protagonist, balancing her unassuming disguise with her significant new responsibilities within the demon kingdom. Upon its release, the volume was recognized for maintaining the momentum of the series' unconventional premise, finding an audience among readers who appreciate fantasy settings that prioritize strategic negotiation over traditional action.
