Kekkon Shimashō, Koisuru Mae ni #6

Kekkon Shimashō, Koisuru Mae ni, translated as Let's Get Married, Before We Fall in Love, is a manga series authored by mangaka Natsumi Mizuho. The series reflects the trends of shōjo and josei romance storytelling common in late 1990s and early 2000s Japanese publishing, focusing on the emotional complexities and social pressures surrounding marriage and romantic commitment in contemporary Japan. As a series aimed at mature readers, it explores the nuanced internal lives of its protagonists as they navigate the transition from dating to long-term domestic partnership.

The sixth volume of this series maintains the aesthetic standards established by Mizuho, characterized by delicate character designs and expressive panel layouts typical of the period's romance manga. The work was produced under the oversight of major manga publishers who prioritized stories centered on relatable relationship dynamics. Upon release, the volume served to deepen the character arcs established in earlier entries, contributing to the series' reputation for providing a grounded, albeit idealized, perspective on the anxieties inherent in early adulthood and matrimonial decision-making.
