Kekkon Shimashō, Koisuru Mae ni #9

Kekkon Shimashō, Koisuru Mae ni, translated as Let's Get Married, Before We Fall in Love, is a shōjo manga series serialized in Japanese manga magazines during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The series belongs to a period of romantic manga that explored the evolving social expectations of young adulthood and courtship in Japan, reflecting the cultural transition of the bubble economy era where marriage prospects and personal autonomy often collided in narrative form.

The ninth issue of this series continues the standard aesthetic of the period's shōjo publications, characterized by delicate line work and emotionally expressive character design typical of the genre's illustrators. These serialized chapters were curated to appeal to a demographic interested in domestic melodrama and romantic tension, and like many similar titles from this era, they served as a window into the prevailing aesthetic sensibilities of Japanese youth media before being largely archived into collected tankōbon volumes.
