Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja [The Comic] #14

Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja, known in English as She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, originated as a light novel series before being adapted into a manga illustrated by Dicca Suemitsu. The series, written by Hirotsugu Ryuusen, follows the protagonist Kagami Sakimori, who finds himself transported into his favorite VRMMORPG in the body of his elderly character, Danblf, though transformed into a young girl. The manga adaptation began serialization in 2016, aiming to bring the vibrant fantasy world and character-driven comedy of the novels to a visual medium through Suemitsu’s expressive character designs.

Issue 14 represents a late-stage entry in this ongoing serialization. As the story progresses, the manga continues to expand upon the world-building and the central mystery of the protagonist's status within the game world. The series has found its audience among fans of the isekai genre who appreciate a focus on adventure and character evolution. While critical reception has been measured, the manga remains a staple for readers who enjoy the specific visual interpretation of the light novel's established lore and the dynamic interplay between the characters.
