Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja [The Comic] #5

Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja, or She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, originated as a light novel series by Hirotsugu Ryusen. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Dicca Suemitsu, began serialization in 2016 within the pages of Micro Magazine's Comic Ride website. The fifth volume serves as a continuation of the narrative, centering on the protagonist Kagami Sakimori, who finds himself inhabiting the body of his avatar, the elderly summoner Danblf, in a virtual reality world.

Dicca Suemitsu's art style is noted for its ability to balance the expansive, high-fantasy aesthetic of the source material with the character-driven humor typical of the isekai genre. Volume 5 maintains the established visual identity of the series, focusing on intricate character designs and the shifting power dynamics of the world of Ark Earth Online. Upon its release, the volume contributed to the growing popularity of the series, which eventually received an anime adaptation, solidifying its place in the modern fantasy manga canon.
