Where it came from
Killer Peter #1, written and illustrated by Leandro Casco, emerged from the independent comics scene as a dark, stylized reimagining of classic childhood icons. Published in the early 2020s, the series centers on a vengeful, distorted version of a well-known fairy tale protagonist, intentionally subverting the innocence of the original character through a grim, hyper-violent aesthetic.
The art style is characterized by heavy inks and a stark, cinematic composition that emphasizes psychological tension over traditional action sequences. As a creator-owned project, the title gained traction through digital distribution platforms and boutique comic conventions, where it earned a reputation for its bold departures from established character tropes and its unapologetically unsettling tone.
