Where it came from
Killer Peter, a gritty and stylized comic series created by Jorge Corona, emerged from the independent creator-owned landscape in the early 2020s. The narrative, known for its dark, fairy-tale aesthetic and subversive tone, centers on a young protagonist navigating a treacherous underworld. This second issue continues the series' established visual language, characterized by Corona’s intricate line work and moody, expressive color palettes that define the title’s grim atmosphere.
The creative direction behind the series was to blend classic childhood innocence with harsh, adult-oriented consequences, creating a stark juxtaposition that reflects the creator's distinct artistic growth. Upon its release, the series was well-received by fans of modern dark fantasy comics, who praised the craftsmanship of the illustration and the steady pacing of the plot. Issue #2 specifically solidified the title's momentum, maintaining the momentum of the inaugural chapter while expanding the scope of its macabre world.
