La Bruja del Castillo de los Cardos #4

La Bruja del Castillo de los Cardos was a short-lived but memorable series of Spanish fantasy-themed comics produced during a period of experimentation in the mid-20th-century adventure and gothic fiction market. Issue number 4 emerged as part of an attempt to merge traditional folklore aesthetics with the pacing of serialized pulp storytelling, reflecting a broader cultural interest in dark fantasy and mysterious, isolated settings common in European serialized narratives of that era.

The creative team focused on a visual language that balanced eerie atmosphere with the character-driven narrative required for an episodic format. While the series did not achieve the longevity of more mainstream publications, it is noted by collectors for its distinct cover illustrations and the thematic consistency maintained by its contributors. Its reception was largely confined to local markets, where it was appreciated by readers who favored genre-bending tales of magic and castle-bound intrigue.
