La Main Gauche de Dieu et la Main Droite du Diable #2

La Main Gauche de Dieu et la Main Droite du Diable, a French comic series written by Thierry Cailleteau and illustrated by Olivier Vatine, emerged in the late 1980s during a period of significant growth for European science fiction bandes dessinées. This second issue continues the series' exploration of a gritty, dystopian landscape, blending elements of high-concept science fiction with the distinct visual language of the era's adventurous graphic novels.

The collaboration between Cailleteau and Vatine was defined by an effort to push the aesthetic boundaries of the genre through meticulous linework and evocative, high-contrast coloring. The series was generally well-received by critics and readers of the period for its cinematic narrative flow, establishing Vatine as a notable talent in modern French comics whose distinct style would eventually bridge European and American comic sensibilities.
