La Zorra y el Cuervo #113

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a beloved Cuban humor magazine that ran from 1964 until the mid-1990s. Born out of the post-revolutionary cultural push to foster national artistic expression, the publication served as a primary platform for Cuba's most talented political cartoonists and illustrators. It was characterized by its witty social commentary and distinctive graphic style, often blending satire with the everyday realities of life in Cuba.

The visual language of the magazine was defined by the work of artists like Luis Lorenzo Sosa and Manuel Villar, who sought to create a unique Cuban aesthetic that moved beyond international comic tropes. Issue 113, like many others in the series, functioned as a bridge between high-concept artistic design and accessible, populist storytelling. It remains a significant historical artifact for collectors, reflecting the specific editorial sensibilities and the graphic design trends prevalent in Havana during the era of its publication.
