La Zorra y el Cuervo #126

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic magazine that emerged during the mid-20th century, serving as a cultural staple for generations of readers. Launched as part of the country's broader efforts to promote literacy and provide accessible, domestically produced entertainment, the series featured adaptations of classic fables alongside original comedic strips. Its visual style was deeply rooted in the mid-century tradition of anthropomorphic character design, emphasizing expressive line work and humorous situational tropes that resonated with a wide, cross-generational audience.

Issue number 126 was produced under the editorial guidance of the Editorial Juvenil, which sought to maintain a consistent aesthetic of playful storytelling. By the time this specific issue was released, the series had solidified its identity by blending traditional moralistic storytelling with the vibrant, distinct character designs of local illustrators. It remains highly regarded among Latin American comic historians for its role in preserving the art of the serialized comic during a transformative period in Cuban media history.
