La Zorra y el Cuervo #157

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a beloved Cuban humor magazine that first appeared in the mid-1960s, serving as a prominent platform for satirical social commentary and comic art. The publication was characterized by its witty exploration of everyday Cuban life, often using the titular characters—a fox and a crow—as archetypes for human foibles. Issue #157 emerged during a period when the magazine had solidified its role as a staple of Cuban pop culture, blending political subtext with accessible, lighthearted humor.

The visual identity of the series was defined by the work of various Cuban illustrators who adapted classic fable tropes to reflect local idioms and contemporary sensibilities. The design approach favored clear, expressive line work and minimalist backgrounds, a necessity driven by the limited printing resources and newsprint quality common to the era. This issue, like others in the run, was well-received by readers for its ability to navigate complex social themes through caricature and situational comedy, maintaining a loyal audience throughout its long-running serial tenure.
