La Zorra y el Cuervo #207

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban humor magazine that began publication in the mid-1960s, serving as a vital outlet for satire and graphic storytelling during a transformative era in the nation's cultural history. Much of the content focused on anthropomorphic social commentary, utilizing the classic fable tropes of the fox and the crow to navigate local politics, bureaucracy, and everyday life in Havana. The magazine became a staple for readers looking for lighthearted yet pointed reflections on the state of society through the lens of caricature and wit.

The aesthetic of the publication was defined by its distinct mid-century graphic style, drawing heavily from the tradition of Cuban editorial illustration. Artists associated with the magazine often employed minimalist lines and expressive, exaggerated character designs that prioritized humor and clarity. Issue 207 fits within the mature run of the series, reflecting the refined artistic standard the contributors maintained as they balanced the editorial mission of the magazine with a playful visual language that remained accessible to a wide audience.
