La Zorra y el Cuervo #48

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic series that originated in the mid-20th century, serving as a cultural staple during the post-revolutionary period. Heavily inspired by the classic Aesop's fable, the series reimagined the titular characters through a lens of local satire and social commentary. Issue #48 represents a period in the publication's history when it was widely distributed across the island, functioning both as entertainment for children and as a medium for subtle pedagogical messaging favored by the cultural climate of the era.

The visual identity of the series was defined by a distinct, clean line style that evolved over its long run to keep pace with changing artistic sensibilities in Cuban illustration. Issue #48 reflects the editorial team's focus on episodic storytelling, where the dynamic between the cunning fox and the naive crow provided a framework for various comedic scenarios. It was well-regarded by readers for its accessibility and consistent characterization, remaining one of the most recognizable graphic legacies of the Editorial Abril period.
