La Zorra y el Cuervo #52

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban satirical and humor magazine that began publication in the mid-1960s. It functioned as a platform for political commentary, social satire, and artistic experimentation, often reflecting the unique cultural and ideological climate of post-revolutionary Cuba. The magazine brought together some of the country’s most talented graphic artists and caricaturists, who used the medium to explore both domestic and international themes through a distinctively Cuban lens.

Issue number 52 represents a snapshot of the publication's enduring effort to bridge intellectual critique with accessible humor. The design aesthetic of the era favored bold, expressive illustrations and minimalist layouts that allowed the punchline or the visual metaphor to take center stage. Within the context of the series, this issue contributes to a legacy of graphic storytelling that remains highly regarded by collectors of Latin American print media for its historical significance and its commitment to the evolution of satirical illustration.
