Leçons de Vie avec Grand Frère Uramichi #3

Leçons de Vie avec Grand Frère Uramichi, known in Japan as Uramichi Oniisan, began as a web manga series created by Gaku Kuze in 2017. The series follows the behind-the-scenes life of Uramichi Omota, a disgruntled 31-year-old gymnastics instructor for a children's television program who struggles to maintain a cheerful facade while dealing with the existential exhaustion of adulthood. Volume 3 serves as a continuation of this darkly comedic exploration of the contrast between professional performance and internal disillusionment.

The character design and narrative style lean into the contrast between the vibrant, primary-colored aesthetics of educational children's television and the bleak, cynical reality of the protagonist's personal life. Gaku Kuze's work has been widely praised for its relatable portrayal of workplace burnout and the absurdity of corporate culture. Upon its release, the series gained significant traction among young adult readers, leading to its eventual adaptation into an anime series in 2021, which helped solidify its status as a staple of contemporary workplace satire.
