Les Gardiens du Globe #2

Les Gardiens du Globe, written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Benito Cereno and Khary Randolph, was published by Image Comics beginning in 2010. The series serves as a spin-off from Kirkman’s flagship superhero title, Invincible, and was designed to expand the shared universe by focusing on the Earth-based defense team that operates in the absence of the primary protagonist. The narrative was conceived to explore the geopolitical and team-dynamic challenges of maintaining global security in a world where powerful metahumans are commonplace.

The artistic direction for the second issue continues the aesthetic established by the creative team, emphasizing high-energy layouts and a bold, illustrative style that mirrors the kinetic tone of the Invincible mythos. Upon its release, the series was received by comic enthusiasts as a vital expansion of the source material, providing necessary context for secondary characters who had previously only appeared in supporting roles. It remains a key component for collectors of the Image superhero line who value character development within Kirkman's cohesive comic book universe.
