Les enfants de la Résistance #10

Les enfants de la Résistance, created by writer Vincent Dugomier and artist Benoît Ers, debuted in 2015 as a historical comic series aimed at introducing younger generations to the realities of the French Resistance during the Second World War. The series follows three teenagers in a German-occupied village, balancing the complexities of adolescent life with the mounting dangers of underground defiance. The narrative is noted for its meticulous historical grounding, as the authors worked closely with historians to ensure that the fictional plot points remained faithful to the climate of 1940s France.

The tenth volume continues the series' established aesthetic, which employs a clean, ligne claire-influenced art style that contrasts sharply with the somber and often perilous subject matter. This stylistic choice is intended to make the heavy themes of betrayal, courage, and moral ambiguity accessible to a younger audience without sacrificing emotional weight. Upon release, the series has been consistently praised by educators and critics alike for its pedagogical value, earning multiple awards and becoming a standard reference for historical education in French-speaking schools.
