Magic: The Gathering: Untold Stories―Elspeth #4

Magic: The Gathering: Untold Stories—Elspeth was a limited digital comic series released in 2021 as part of the broader promotional efforts by Wizards of the Coast to deepen the lore surrounding iconic planeswalkers. Issue #4 serves as the concluding chapter of this miniseries, focusing on the character Elspeth Tirel, a central figure in the Magic multiverse whose narrative trajectory has spanned multiple planes and sets within the card game's history.

The series was produced in collaboration with IDW Publishing, featuring creative work intended to bridge gaps between major expansion releases. The design and visual narrative sought to capture Elspeth’s internal conflict and resilience, utilizing a style consistent with contemporary comic aesthetics to appeal to both long-time players and fans of fantasy literature. Upon release, it was received primarily as a narrative supplement for dedicated lore enthusiasts, functioning as a collectible digital artifact that contextualized Elspeth's character growth before her return in later game expansions.
