Magik and Colossus #5

Magik and Colossus, a limited series published by Marvel Comics in 2010, was written by Si Spurrier and illustrated by artist Khoi Pham. This miniseries sought to bridge the emotional gap between the siblings Illyana and Piotr Rasputin following Illyana's return from Limbo, placing them within the landscape of the X-Men's Utopia era. The narrative serves as a focused character study, exploring the trauma and moral divergence resulting from Illyana’s time as a dark sorceress and Colossus's struggle to reconcile his brotherly devotion with his sister’s newfound ruthlessness.

The art style of the series leans into the atmospheric, gothic tones associated with Limbo, with Pham’s illustrations aiming to capture both the stark metal textures of Colossus and the volatile, magical nature of Magik. While the series received moderate attention from X-Men enthusiasts for its exploration of internal family conflict, it is primarily viewed as a niche narrative piece that supplements the broader, more expansive X-Men crossovers occurring at the time. It is regarded by collectors as a foundational text for understanding the modern evolution of the Rasputin siblings' relationship.
