Marvel Masterworks #26

Marvel Masterworks volume 26, published in 1993, belongs to an influential archival series launched by Marvel Comics in 1987. This specific volume collects the early adventures of the Fantastic Four, specifically reprinting issues #10-17 of the original run. The series was created to provide long-term fans and new readers with high-quality, hardbound collections of Golden and Silver Age stories, ensuring that foundational superhero narratives remained accessible decades after their initial newsstand debut.

The design of this volume adheres to the classic Marvel Masterworks aesthetic, characterized by its iconic dust jacket art and gold-foil stamping. The content features the foundational work of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, whose collaborative effort during this era defined the Marvel house style. Upon its release, this volume was well-received by the comics community for its restoration quality and its role in preserving the mid-1960s era of the Fantastic Four, which saw the introduction of key antagonists like Doctor Doom and the Sub-Mariner.
