Protectors #10

Protectors #10 was released during the 1990s as part of the Protectors series, a title published by Lone Star Comics under the imprint created by Malibu Comics. This era was characterized by the rise of independent superhero universes attempting to capture the market dominance held by the major publishers, often utilizing high-concept storytelling and distinct illustrative styles common to the mid-90s comic book boom.

The series featured an ensemble cast of heroes intended to ground more fantastical elements within a gritty, contemporary framework. While the artistic and editorial direction sought to differentiate the Protectors from the established tropes of mainstream superhero fiction, the title remains a niche example of the period's speculative market, largely remembered by enthusiasts of 1990s independent comics for its specific aesthetic and contribution to the short-lived Ultraverse-adjacent landscape.
