Risōkyō Joshi Zukan: Watashi no Kekkon Seikatsu, Tottemo Shiawase Desu #1

Risōkyō Joshi Zukan: Watashi no Kekkon Seikatsu, Tottemo Shiawase Desu, or 'Illustrated Encyclopedia of Ideal Women: My Married Life, I'm Very Happy,' emerged from the niche Japanese subculture of domestic-themed fan illustration anthologies. Released in the early 2010s, this publication was designed to explore idealized, tranquil depictions of married life through the lens of diverse artistic styles, targeting an audience interested in intimate, slice-of-life character studies rather than traditional commercial manga narratives.

The volume features contributions from various independent artists who aimed to evoke feelings of warmth and domestic stability, a popular motif in contemporary dōjinshi circles. The aesthetic choices focus on cozy, domestic settings intended to contrast with more high-octane or dramatic genres. As a self-published work, it was received primarily within convention circuits and specialty hobby shops, serving as a collector’s piece for enthusiasts of character-driven illustration series that celebrate the mundane joys of imagined romantic partnerships.
