R.R.H. #5

R.R.H. #5 originates from the underground comix scene of the 1970s, a period defined by countercultural expression and the subversion of traditional comic book tropes. This particular series reimagined classic fairy tales through a dark, satirical, and often transgressive lens, reflecting the era's disillusionment with sanitized narratives and the push for artistic autonomy within the medium.

The series is noted for its raw, unfiltered graphic style, characteristic of the era's independent presses. While specific individual issue creators for the R.R.H. series are often shrouded in the collaborative anonymity typical of underground publishing, the work was received by contemporary audiences as a bold challenge to mainstream sensibilities, eventually finding a niche home among collectors of mid-century counterculture literature.
