Where it came from
R.R.H. #3 is part of a series that reinterprets the classic folk tale of Little Red Riding Hood through a dark, avant-garde aesthetic. Emerging from the independent comics scene, the series was designed to deconstruct traditional fairy tale tropes, utilizing a monochromatic color palette and stark, expressionist line work intended to evoke a sense of psychological unease and modern gothic dread.
The series was conceived by creators aiming to distance the character from mainstream, sanitized adaptations. Upon its release, the third installment was particularly noted for its experimental panel layouts and sparse dialogue. Critical reception focused on its atmospheric storytelling, with many reviewers praising the artist's ability to balance minimalist visual style with an increasingly dense and surreal narrative structure.
